I still think of Mellownie every time I pass by the house where she lived. She was such a sweet lady. She had an extra place in my heart because she reminded me so much of my own 3rd grade teacher- also a wonderful, caring teacher who made every student feel important. God's Blessings to all who still miss her. Vivian Ferchill

Mellownie was a wonderful, caring teacher. So thoughtful of others and firm but loving with her students. It was my privilege as a young educator to teach at Berkman Elementary with her. Her legacy of dedication and committment to education lives on in all the students she taught and the teachers she mentored. May God welcome her into his kingdom with loving arms.

We will miss her. Vivian Ferchill
