Joe "The Barber" as known to all was a man of many talents. Maybe one of his lesser known talents was that of courrier. He would pick up either me or one of my fellow pilots from the Austin Mueller Airport every morning about 6:15 to complete deliveries around downtown Austin to banks, the capitol and various other facilities.

We would then hang out at his barber shop til later in the day when we would go pick up the return expedited items for our return trip to Dallas. He would often take us to the Sertoma breakfasts. What a thrill for a young aviator.

I am very sorry for his passing and believe it or not I think of him regularly as there is a very active Sertoma presence here in Pensacola FL.

Rest in Peace Joe.

Sincerest condolences to the Picciandra family. I met Joe during the early 70s as a friend of many people I knew and worked with at the Capitol. He was such a character and fun to be around. He was a very kind person as well.

I briefly knew Joe when he hung around Vic up at Jacob's Star. Always a kind word, a song on his lips and love in his heart. Condolences to his family but I know he is up in heaven singing up a storm and setting up shop!
