To have lived a long life and gained experience to share is truly a reward (Psalms 90:10). To family and friends, may you find comfort in the many cherished memories.

June 15, 2018

To the Hankins Family and All those loved by Mama Nell Hankins, on behalf of all those inspired by her son Jim Hankins, I wish to extend my deepest heartfelt condolences. Our Nell is with her Lord and has transitioned into another existence with her God and Holy Father. She is at peace. I know the pain of losing a mother, no one closer than she. I know that great mothers love hard, we love them hard and we mourn and grieve their passing even more hard! They would have it no other way. However, after three years now for me, although the hole in my heart will never heal, God has done a great patch job and has made it easier with time. I can laugh at thoughts of mom instead of crying. You will too. The tears are replaced with smiles and laughter. That's how Mama Nell wants her memories to live in all of you, with joy and not only with sadness.
I wish to let you know that I have never physically met Mama Nell. But Jim's love for her and all the funny stories he would share while constructing one of his master pieces, made all of his followers come to know and love Mama Nell. I don't know if our Nell actually knew how large her family had extended. My, oh my! An international family. That's quite brilliant accomplishment. She was indeed a phenomenal woman to Jim and Caesar. And we of course love her too.
I pray that God cradles all of you in the palms of His hands and give you growing piece. Amen
