With great dignity and honor, I had the privilege of meeting Dick Roberson and family. And served in a caregiver capacity yet quickly became in a friends capacity. I can only imagine the reunion he had at the gates of Glory. He never quit sharing his testimony of how great a God we have. What an inspiration. He will be greatly missed.

Ms. Roberson, I'm so very sorry to read of Dick's passing. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. When I was a kid growing up in Tarrytown, friends and I idolized him. He pitched for the Austin Pioneers back then. My family lived on Bowman Ave., just a couple of blocks from him on Vista Lane. He took time to play 'catch' with a childhood friend and me, and he explained how catchers gave their 'signs' to pitchers about which pitch to throw next. He was infinitely patient and seemed as if he had nothing else to do but spend time with us. Although I moved from Austin many years ago and am now in mid-70s, I remember your husband and his generous spirit as if I'd seen him just yesterday. I'm truly saddened and will make a donation in his memory. Warren Miller, CFA/CPA, Lexington, Virginia
