I know this is a bit late...but Bob was one of a kind. Bob and I worked together at IBM in 2007-2008. Once, after experiencing a financial issue, I mentioned this to Bob while sitting at an Applebees in Colonial Heights, VA. The next morning Bob came to my desk and handed me an envelope. I opened it later to find 8 $20 bills. I attempted to repay Bob and he wouldn't have it! Bob is truly remarkable. I came to find that Bob and my own father had much in common as my father was a Naval photographer while recovering Alan Sheppard and his capsule (first orbit of the earth). My father had multiple de-classified Naval photos from that day, which he gave Bob about 10 of. Bob and I sat at the bar as he reminisced about those days. He pointed out a young John Glenn as well as other space pioneers of the day. Bob will be missed. I aspire to be like him in some way.

I specifically remember the first day I met Bob and having lunch with him during out first group TTT together, and getting to learn about his interesting stories! He was always so kind and such a gentleman offering to open all the doors and carry the ladies' bags at the airport. His wit and charm made him the person people tended to gravitate toward. I will always remember working that project with him and how much I enjoyed it. My best to Bob's family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a true gentleman and I loved working with him. He loved what he was doing and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed.

In 2008 I had the pleasure of working with Bob. He was truly a kind and remarkable man. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
