GLASS, JT JT Glass died August 18, 2017 in Austin, Texas. He was born November 19, 1924 in Slaton, Texas to Frank and Grace Rogers Glass. After graduating, he served in the Navy during World War II on the USS Remey. In 1946, he was called back to duty on the USS Bayfield during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he worked for GSA. He retired in 1991. He was active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 52 years. He served as Director of Government Employees Federal Credit Union. He is preceded in death by his daughter Dr. Janice Glass Mouser and two brothers Howard and Billy. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marian; two daughters: Dianne Glass and Brenda Adams (Mike); seven grandchildren: Jessica Keas (Jason) Jenny Morgan (Keith), Dr. Sarah Fry (Clint), Dr. Ben Mouser, Mary Flury (William), Shannon Kaltenbach (Shawn) and Nathaniel Adams; and seven great grandchildren. Visitation and Rosary will be Monday, August 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Austin, Texas.

Prayers and condolences to the family and friends of J.T. Glass. I have only just learned of this. He was my supervisor at GSA for 5 years, the best I ever had and one of the finest men I ever knew. May all who knew him be blessed and find comfort in their memories of him, for he truly was a great man.
