Indeed she was like a mother to me. I was only 18, felt lonely and confused, till she took me into her arms. I still remember her warmth and kind smile.
My deepest condolences to the family, especially Kim who was also very kind to me and treated me like a sister. Miss you both.

Dr. Gray cared greatly about her students, teachers, and colleagues and her commitment to encouraging and nurturing them was evident in everything she did. The family-run school she created with Kim served the needs of hundreds of international students who will forever owe much of their success to the good English language foundation provided by IELS. I am deeply saddened by her passing.

Thought the short time I knew you, everything I learned at IELS has been with me during tha last 23 years of my life. I became an English teacher myself. I give the dear teacher Kim my condolences. Dr Gray was really an inspiration. You both were a great influence. God is with you.

She touched my heart in so many ways. You will always be in my thoughts. So thankful for the time I was aloud to spend with this wonderful woman whom I admire since our first meeting in 1992.

Dear Tante Mady, I will miss you so!
Dear Kim & Hap,
I will always remember your mother's kindness and support from the moment I stepped off the plane in Austin 32 years ago until the last time I saw her at lunch with my mom & dad in Austin. She indeed had a big heart!
She was also a brave and spunky lady, an inspiration.
I remember my first visit to the first IELS office off Mopac, in awe of the courage it took for her to pull it off and so proud of her. She loved teaching and she loved her students.
But most of all she loved the two of you. In very single conversation I had with her over the last 32 years she always mentioned the two of you.
Please know that you all are in my prayers.
