Tracy Wolfe Obituary

Tracy Darrel Wolfe, 83, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away on Nov. 3, 2018, in Colville.
Tracy was born on September 11, 1935, in Grand Junction, Colo.; the son of George Neely and Elsa Wilda (Thompson) Wolfe.
His family moved to Prosser when Tracy was one year old. They resided in Prosser for eight years before moving to Colville. Tracy then attended grade school at the country school house in Arden. He attended Colville High School and was in the graduating class of 1953. Towards the end of high school, Tracy entered the National Guard as a reservist. He enjoyed two years of serving in the reserves.
Tracy also worked at Palmer Siding where he loaded box cars with lumber and also worked as a farmhand at local farms and ranches. Tracy then moved to southern California, where he worked at Kaiser Steel. While in California, he gained a new appreciation for northeast Washington and soon returned to the Colville.
On July 1, 1961, he married Karron Marie Phipps at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Colville. They began a family with the births' of their daughter, Jeannie and son, Dan. Tracy supported his family with a lifelong careers in the sawmills. Progressing through several of the local mills throughout the years, Tracy worked at the Arden Lumber Mill for most of his career from which he retired at the age of 65.
Tracy was a man who knew the value of family and shared those values with his children. Their weekends were often spent gathered together at the grandparent's homes. There they built memories and shared meals. Tracy enjoyed taking country drives, fishing on local lakes and streams; and gardening. Tracy had a youthful approach to life and enjoyed helping others. He spent many hours working on projects for neighbors, family and friends. After 57 years of marriage, Karron simply described him as my "Sweetie." He is beloved and treasured in the hearts of those who knew him.
Tracy was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale Wolfe, Charles Wolfe, and Shannon Dean Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife: Karron Wolfe, at the home; daughter, Jeannie Ross (Darrell) of Colville; Dan Wolfe (JuLee) of Ocean Shores; two grandchildren, Kali Schumacher (Chad) of Kennewick and Danner Ross of Colville; great-grandchild, Aaron Schumaker; sister, Sharon Padilla (Greg) of Bulverde, Texas; brother; Dana Wolfe (Diana) of Morton; brothers-in-law, Bennie Phipps (Martha); Dwayne (Linda) Phipps; and Kelly Phipps all of Colville, and numerous nieces and nephews many of whom were quite special to him.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at 1 p.m., at the Arden Community Hall. There will be a meal served afterward. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice or someone within your reach that is in need.
