I miss you so much. Words can't explain. Not being able to say any last words , I say them now. Thank you for being apart of my life. When I needed someone to talk to you were there , watching days of our lives, making Auntys taco Tuesday with my cousins. I miss and love you.

"Adelfa Pionera de Oregon"

Our Tejano Marion County Community has lost a friend and part of the Familias "Pioneros de Oregon."

Over a half century ago, Tejano Families migrated to work in the Oregon fields. The "Alvarez Familia" was well known for their work ethic. Working in the fields from -sun up to sun down- was an expectation. El "Campo Verde" a migrant camp outside of the Woodburn city limits was home for many FAMILIAS which included the "Alvarez." Oregon became their home and migrant life ended within a short time.
"We worked very hard" her brother Paul shared at one of our "Pioneros de Oregon" gathering last October.

Adelfa "La cuata" (which means twin) married and created her own family. The family continuity remains-GRACIAS A DIOS!

Our deep condolences to the family.

My mom was a incredible mom, grandma and wife. Loved by everyone. The world lost a great soul, the world is a little darker without her. She will live on in our heart and minds for the rest of our lives. Love you mom. Love you and miss you. Your son Raul

My sympathy goes out to the family during your time of grief. May God's loving-kindness comfort you and help you through this difficult time. (Psalm 119:50,76)
