To the family of Estelle,
I am sorry for the loss of your love one. During the days ahead may prayer comfort and strengthen you. 1Thessalonians 5:17

Cookie was a beautiful person inside and out. When I first met my husband one afternoon she asked me for my address. I asked her why and she told me that I asked too many questions. So, I gave her my address. When I came home from work that afternoon who's car should be parked in front of my house, you guessed it ..it was Cookie. She was walking out my front door with my husband and they were just laughing. Mind you this was the first time they met. I asked her what she was doing and she said I came over, knocked on the door, introduced myself and told your husband that I wanted to make sure Steve was good enough for you. She always looked out for others. The year my mother-in-law passed away was right before Christmas and after Steve's bday. She called me one afternoon asked how we were doing. I told her that Steve was sad and really missing his Mom. She told me to come out front of OSP. Of course I asked why and she said again you ask too many questions. So, I met her out front and she handed me an envelope and told me to open it, so of course you do what Cookie told you to do. Here was a beautiful sympathy card and some cash. My eyes filled up in tears and she said Mike and I want you to take Steve out for a nice dinner in memory of your Mother-in-Law. Cookie was an amazing woman and the love she had for staff (her DOC family) is amazing just like her. Cookie you will be missed by so many that loved you.

What a lovely account of Cookie's life. She was full of life, and so frank. She had a big heart. Why do the good ones leaves us so young?

Oh very young, what will you leave us this time
You're only dancin' on this earth for a short while...
