Otto Olson Obituary

Otto William Olson

October 8, 1915 - March 29, 2016

Stayton - Otto William Olson, 100, entered his eternal rest on March 29, 2016. He was born on October 8, 1915 and grew up in eastern Montana, one of six siblings. Otto served as a pastor for several years, and later worked at local plywood mills to support his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Violet, two sons as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Otto was a man of God who enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. He happily celebrated his 100th birthday with many who knew him, and he will be greatly missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2PM at the Stayton Foursquare Church. Interment to follow at Fox Valley Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Weddle Funeral Services.

I knew Otto when I was living in Mehama with my wife at the time, Traci (Lockwood) Johnson. He and Vi were very sweet couple and her son Wally lived on their property for a while.

To the Olson family, We are so sorry for your loss. Growing up around the Olson's, I knew that the family were raised right. The whole family are children of God. Vie always gave the Hughes boys a great big hug and smile. Phil and Janet are still caring and loving. The point is, we can see our parents through our children. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. We will see him again with our Lord and Savior. Sincerely, Paul and Maria Hughes
