Jean Porter was a very special woman and friend. She was soft spoken, a very sharp mind and did not hesitate to give her opinion. She was well liked and respected by the residents and staff at Madrona Hils. She lived a very full life and moved to Salem upon the death of her husband. Her niece and family were the delight of her life. She was proud of her accomplishments and was one of the civil servants who epitomized loyalty to the U.S. Government. She had received many special
Christmas ornaments from the White House during her years of service and proudly displayed them.

Rest well dear Jean, your journey is over. God bless her family and know you were loved.
