I haven't seen Ken in many years but I worked for the City of Salem in the 70s along with Ken. He was my supervisor and friend. I was a maintenance foreman then. Ken hired me as a general maintenance worker in early 1973. With Ken's guidance in a year I was a Foreman for the city. He was a friend, a good caring fair person. I never saw ken get angry in the 7 years that we worked together. He was a gentle kind man. I will always remember him that way. I will always remember how he cared and always remember what a good friend he was to me.

Dear Family of Ken Pavelek:
Kenny was one of my first friends from St. Joseph's in the First Grade when we moved from New Orleans to Salem. I used to go to his house to play on Saturdays; in fact, it was one of the first spankings I can remember, when I went one Saturday morning to play at his house as usual without telling Mom where I was going! We were together for our First Holy Communion, along with Ann Shryock, Bill Brown, John Hemann, Tim Meyer and others, and went to Serra Catholic later on. My prayers and condolences are with you, although I won't be able to be there either for the Rosary or the funeral; I have to babysit our 14th grandchild!
Prayers and Blessings! My thoughts are with you! Kay Eichsteadt McEwen
