I have pleasant memories of visiting when I was a child and was so thankful for a recent connection, however brief. To all of her children, and especially to my old friends, Linda, Rosie and Paul, I am so sorry for your loss.

To the O'Brien children: I read the beautiful tribute to your Mother and wish I had known this lovely woman. May the love and support of friends and family help you through this difficult time.

Mrs O'Brien,
I will always remember your warm home and the smell of baked goods. You taught me to bake a cake and to this day when I bake I think of you. You were welcoming to my family and boy the McCarthy's and the O'Brien's could party. We had good role models~ Dan O'Brien and Hugh McCarthy!! I'm sure mom, dad and Dan were all ready to welcome you to Heavens party. You will be missed but always remembered. God Bless and thinking of the O'Brien clan.

Marcella was my dear aunt, a gracious, charming woman , a class act in every sense of the word. I was blessed to spend many happy times with her at family gatherings while growing up in Salem in the 1950's. She always extended the warm hand of friendship and welcome when you entered her home. She was a remarkable woman of great courage , faith , and strength. She raised a wonderful family of 8 children with incredible energy, always maintaining a sense of humor and an easy going manner. She was a terrific cook and generously shared many wonderful recipes. She leaves a legacy of caring and sharing. We will miss her engaging presence in our lives. Her loving spirit remains in the hearts of all of us who knew and loved her.
She is resting now in the loving hands of God.
