I haven't been able to bring myself to read the obituary . . . Q was one of the best teachers I ever had. She was inspiring, whip-smart and tough all at the same time. My memories of her class were among my favorite of high school. She will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to her family.

"Q" you touched the whole Rutledge Family during our time at South Salem High School. To my brother Stuart, my sister Beth in ACT, and myself as someone who appreciated your inspiration. You were always kind and understanding to all you worked with. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

I was fortunate to know Phyllis Quanbeck for many years through my church, and her involvement with the Lutheran Fine Arts Festival. She was a woman of passion, energy, and faith. She has always been an inspiration to me, and a source of hope and strength. My thoughts and prayers are with the Quanbeck family as they grieve the loss of this wonderful and amazing person.
