Wayne Gann
December 30, 1935 - March 4, 2016
Salem - Wayne Alvin Gann passed away peacefully at his home in West Salem with family by his side on March 4, 2016. He was born on December 30, 1935 in a log cabin in Colcord, Oklahoma. Wayne served in the US Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956 and then graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS in Industrial Management in 1961. He was self employed in the insurance business in Dallas, Oregon prior to his retirement in 1995. Wayne enjoyed hiking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Gann of 18 years and his three children (spouses) Linda (Jeff) Haller, Mike (Cindy) Gann and Julie (Randy) Shrake. Wayne also had two step-sons Joseph (Teresa) Clinton, Greg Clinton; seven grandchildren, and his sister Betty Reyburn of Santa Maria, California. Wayne is also predeceased by his first wife Jane Gann of 34 years, his siblings Wanda Hamilton, Ruth Gardner, and Vernon Legg.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1 PM at the West Hills Community Church located at 1650 Brush College Road NW, West Salem, Oregon 97304. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Willamette Valley Hospice located at 1015 3rd Street NW, Salem, Oregon 97304. Private interment in the Salt Creek Cemetery.
