We said farewell to Sue today .. she is now at peace and for that we are thankful.
June 30, 2016
I got to know Sue for a short while during the last phase of her illness. We shared our love of TV and movie trivia, testing each other with far fetched questions. Sue liked a challenge and she was genuinely happy when she could reach back to old memories and find the perfect trivia answer complete with details. She could easily name every cowboy and horse who had ever been on the silver screen. In this category she had me completely stumped. She expressed genuine appreciation for her friends and caregivers and offered a sweet smile to seal the deal. I hope she is at peace.

Sue and I were friends for almost 56 years. We met the first week of school at Leslie Junior High in 1960. We remained life long friends due to our love of theater (Sue introduced me to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in the '60s), our mutual love of the movies and Agatha Christie mysteries, and the mutual enjoyment we received from our world wide travels. Bless you, my friend.

I met Sue through my work with Willamette Humane Society. Her strong compassion for animals, especially cats, forged a strong bond between us. I always relished the stories she would tell upon return from her extended travels, even taking an Alaskan cruise upon her recommendation. Rest in peace, Sue.
