Teresa was my math study skills instructor, and what I remember is that it was important for her to keep EVERYONE engaged. That was very important to me; struggling with math and being an older student. It was a one credit class, but acknowledging that I may have something relevant for a younger student to hear was a lesson taught that I still carry to this day.

I'm very sorry for her family, as I know people like Teresa aren't replaceable. But please know that her words and actions won't ever be lost on at least one of her students (and I suspect many, many more.) God Bless and keep you.

Teresa was part of my successful graduation from the Chemeketa nursing program in 2014. Thank you Teresa, your influence will live on.

Teresa was such a great mentor when I was new to college teaching. I appreciated her professional encouragement, as well as her sense of humor. Although it's been a long time since she left SFCC, I think of her often when being in the same halls and seeing where her office used to be. I was happy to reconnect with in person at a mutual friend's house when she was visiting Spokane a couple of years ago. My sincere condolences to David and Christopher, and all who love and will miss her. Her spirit and work will live on. Thanks, Teresa.

A Brief Tribute

Teresa knew how to be a truly loving
friend. She and David shared a secret
bond of friendship over many years
with Jane and myself.

It was a sacred communion.
And we celebrated this wonderful joyous
communion together here at home and
abroad in Italy, Scotland, Wales ,
and the beloved patch of forest in England
that bears her family name.

Oh, what sweet memories.
Oh, what a beautiful person--
that's Teresa.
