Dutch Register, 65, passed away peacefully on Dec. 8, 2017, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring. He was a proud native of St. Augustine, son of the late Earl and Helen Register, and was a graduate of St. Augustine High School. Dutch was retired, having worked many years as a supervisor for Marineland and St. Augustine Boat Builders. A great pleasure for Dutch was coaching baseball and football for the St. Augustine Athletic League. He was a self-employed courier for over 15 years up until recently. He was a member of McDowell Baptist Church and he was an avid Florida State fan for life "GO NOLES"
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his fiancee, Sandy Hersey; daughter, Rachel Scoggins; sons, Michael Register, Kyle Register (Krystle), of St. Augustine, BJ Register, Matt Oary (Brandi) of Bostwick. Also left to cherish his memory are 14 grandchildren; sister, Lou Smith (Greg), of East Palatka; and brothers, Ken and Jack Register, St. Augustine.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
A heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate staff of the Bailey Family Center for Caring and a special thanks to Pastor Clarence Blalock for all of his love and support.
