Marget and BJ, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I had so many good times with Bill and our Fire Department days are fond memories. He always gave everything 100% of himself to all that he did.

I joined B O C in 1966 as a pole vaulter. At that time B O C had the best mile relay team in the USA comprising of olymic medalist (Edwin Roberts) NCAA champions Nick Lee from Morgan State and Olympians from Jamaica, and the Bahama's whos names escape me. I rode with Bill to many meets on the East Coast. Many a stories were told by the "grand coach". My greatest was running on that mile relay in the old Madison Square Garden . The mile relay was always the premier event of the night. Two of the olympians were lame with pulled ham strings and I was asked by the team member to lead of the race to run against the 5 best teams in the country other wise they would have to forfeit the travel monies advanced to come to the meet. We got 3rd place .One team pulled up lame , one was disqualified and Edwin Roberts jogged in to the finish. I treasure that Medal and memories shared by Bill. Rest in Peace

Margaret you are in our thoughts and prayers with what you are now going through. Bill was an inspiration for so many guys over the years. He coached over 450 people during his leadership of the Baltimore Olympic Club, making the BOC a perennial T&F Club on the east coast. "BOC Forever" Bill

Knowingly or unknowingly Bill inspired us all to be better athletes and just as important better human beings by the examples he set for us! We will miss his wit and great sense of humor and especially his remarkable memory when it came to remembering times and distances from years past. You'll always be an inspiration to us---We love you Bill and we'll miss you!
