Passed away peacefully into God's loving care on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the age of 85. Devoted husband of 65 years to Hazel (nee Armitage). Loving father of Debra (Les) Maund and Terry (Brenda) Janzen. Proud grandpa to Chadd (Caitlyn) and Cori (Youssef). Loving "grampin" to CJ. John will also be remembered by many extended family members. Predeceased by his parents, John and Helen Janzen, and his brother Ernie (Liz) Janzen.
John owned and operated St. Catharines Buildall from 1975 to 1989. He was a master electrician and air conditioning mechanic at Blenkhorn and Sawle, and a service manager at Gordon Wright Electric. John was a very active member of First Grantham United Church, where he served as a trustee and on the legacy committee. He had a passion for stock car racing, Nascar, and dirt modifieds. John was known for being meticulous, and he always took great pride in all of his building projects.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at NHS-St. Catharines and Hotel Dieu Shaver for their care and compassion.

I had the pleasure of working for John at Buildall in the late 1970s. He was a lovely man and a great employer. My deepest condolences to Debbie (who I knew from high school) and Terry. I will be thinking of you both. Lisa (now Hannah - name change). Take care.
