It is with great sadness the family of Rita Louise Muto announce that she has peacefully passed in her sleep at Oakwood Park Lodge, surrounded by love. She was reunited with her beloved husband Don on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. She is survived by her much loved daughters Angie Muto (Jamie), Pam Wilson (Shawn), Karen Ciolfi (Tony), and Lori Camposarcone (Mike). Her grandchildren Holly (Mike), Jason (Michelle), Alicia, Erica (Nathan), Miranda, Kyle, Jenna and Aaron. Her great-grandchildren Jet and Max, Cameron, Wyatt and Ari, and Emmett. Her sister Joanne Miani (Rome) and brother Gene Veltri (Tilly). She is predeceased by her parents Louis Veltri and Adeline (Veltri) Mendola, John and Angelina Muto and her brother Albert Veltri (Rosemarie) She will be missed by many friends and family. Rita's love for life was first and foremost her family and her love of the church. She was an active member of St Andrews Roman Catholic Church for more than 60 years. Rita worked tirelessly helping people, visiting the sick and in prayer groups. Her life touched us all and everyone who knew her lived better because of it. Rita worked for the Hospital Auxiliary for many years where everyone knew her friendly face. Many bowling trophies are testament to her love of the sport. Our sincere gratitude to all of Rita's caregivers at Oakwood Park Lodge. You all made her feel love and at home. She made everyone she met happier, her sense of humor was well known and infectious. A private visitation has taken place with a Celebration of Life at a later date. There is another angel in the Heavenly Choir tonight. Until we meet again Mom, we will love you forever. Memorial gifts can be made to the Welland Humane Society and Oakwood Park Lodge recreation department in Rita's name. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.

I can’t express in words how sorry I am for your loss. Rita was a shining star for anyone who got to know her. I know she’s up in heaven looking for her favourite singer Frank Sinatra.

I will cherish and hold the days we would sit outside and sing fly me to the moon, and New York New York together.

Her bright smile, her singing, her sense of humour will be greatly missed. Until we met again I will be thinking of you often.

May she rest is heavenly peace. Heaven gained beautiful, shinning angel.
