I first met Sophie in 1997 as a client, but we quickly became friends. Sophie was a sophisticated, worldly, thoughtful lady. She never missed asking how my family was whenever we were together. She loved to take her vacations in Cancun most years and enjoyed sitting on the beach reading. I was fortunate to go with her two times and the memories will always be with me. She was an avid reader and enjoyed fine food, theatre and travel. She was a quiet person and we had many long conversations about life, family, friends, politics and religion which we pretty much saw eye to eye. She was a huge animal lover which also prompted her to go Vegan as did I. As many are aware she was a fervent volunteer for countless organizations and the world was a better place with her in it. I will miss her dearly and relish the memories we shared. Rest In Peace Sophie, you deserve it.

Dear Mike. My deepest condolences on the loss of your very lovely Sophie. She was a wonderful, dedicated, caring and kind lady who influenced all who met her. As a member of the May Court Club, Sophie's comittment to help others and her strong sense of responsibility was most impressive. As our Secretary, Sophie worked very hard to keep us all up to date with her well written minutes from our meetings. Personally I truly enjoyed discussing our love of old classic films. Romantic movies were her favourite. As President of the May Court Club, I can definetly say our members will miss her loyalty and positive energy. She always had a smile.

Sophie - such elegance, such honesty, such caring and so much time given to so many good causes. You were such a pleasure to know and to work with during my time with NABWN.
I cannot bear to come to a visitation because I will not be able to hug anyone and that is how I communicate.
Mike, we have all lost an amazing woman and your loss is greater than all of ours. Thinking of you and remembering Sophie - her courage and her grace. Rest in peace Sophie, so much love goes with you.

Sophie and I flitted out of each other’s lives for over 30 years but like true friends always started right where we left off. Tales of trips, family, my children and grandchildren , Sophie’s adventures with Mike attending cultural events and of course her love of her pets. I will always treasure our long visit just days before her passing with an “I love you” Rest In Peace my Friend

Sophie was a very special and unique person. We met through NABWN way back in the 90s... "Refined" as it says above is a perfect word, but she was so much more than that as well... she was kind and caring... and yet, she knew how to laugh. My last encounter with her was when she reached out via text... not that long ago... to comment, as we both watched The Bold and The Beautiful. Such a small silly gesture ... yet I will treasure that memory always. My heart goes out to Mike and to their precious pets... Sophie was one in a million... she could rule with a velvet glove and yet, was one of the kindest people I have ever known... I am so glad that I got to know her... no two people could be more different than Sophie and I... and yet she always took the time and made the effort to stay in touch... the world was a better place because Sophie was in it... I was blessed to be able to call her my friend... she will be greatly missed by so many... there is definitely one more angel in heaven...

I was so shocked and saddened to read of Sophie’s passing. I was one of her clients and fellow kitty Mom friends. Sophie was a very professional businesswoman who made you feel so comfortable and welcome. We shared many great conversations about our cats, husbands, family, travel, politics, fashion, etc. She was a very kind and caring person, and I will so miss her.
To Sophie’s husband Mike, I only know you through conversations with Sophie, but, I’d just like you to know that I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sophie and you will both be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sophie and I met when we were teens. Two very unconventional Greek girls from different cities, who found each other. We shared many life experiences over the years and decades. I recall after her first meeting with Mike, she immediately felt he was to be her life partner.
Sophie was loving, brave, courageous, adventurous, cultured, kind, supportive, fun, funny, dramatic, accomplished and always... a "PBS fan". She had a huge spirit. Sophie could talk up a storm, always remembered thoughtful details of friend's lives, and tell a story like nobody's business. She was feminine and fashion savvy but also a warrior; she had an iron fist in a velvet glove. Sophie could be reserved but she had a hilarious irreverent streak and a raucous laugh. It was the best.
I recently reconnected with Sophie, hoping to spend more time together and wanting to let her know how much I adored, respected and loved her. Sadly, she became ill soon after and we never met in person. I know I'm not alone in feeling these sentiments, and hope—wherever Sophie is— will somehow know how she impacted so many of us.

I was so very saddened to read of Sophie’s passing today. I remember the first time we met and I was struck by her level of professionalism, her kindness, her wealth of knowledge, love of travel, fashion sense and appreciation of fine things. Sometimes she showed a little mischievous side and I loved that about her as it was always so unexpected. You shall be so missed Sophie. Sincere condolences to you Mike and Family.
