Dave, John, and I were buddies back in our pre-high school days. We lived north of Detroit Mi. and were associated through the local Boy Scout Troop 1022 that met at the Conant public school on Quarton Rd. Many camping trips we enjoyed together and Boy Scout Camp in the summertime was a memorable time in our youths. Our travels together even took us to Europe for a 4 wk. visit to many countries there. From that trip my memories of David are still vivid. We climbed to the base of the famous Matterhorn in Switzerland, got lost in downtown Munich, Germany after-hours and enjoyed many pleasurable times together just exploring. Maybe 47 years have past since I last saw Dave, but my memory holds a very fond memory of him as an amiable and inspiring companion. I will value all those excellent memories all of my days. Add my sadness to the rest of the family's and his friends. Dick Dull (New Castle, Co.)

David was a band member in the Tell City OFF BEATS back about 1967 to 1968. They played at many events, sometimes too along with the band the WILDS of Jasper, Indiana.

David had a life long interest in playing the guitar. His favorite was a 12 string Gibson acoustical that had an added electrical pickup.

Our father sold our old 1961 Plymouth Fury to the Stephens in this band for 100 bucks when we moved away from Tell City Indiana back in 1968.

David; we miss you and your music and how you touched us all.

David; I miss you as my brother and friend. You taught me so many things like how to use a camera, shoot pool or how to sail. We will miss you very much.

David was a brother and close friend. He was taken way to soon from us, but he hung on as long as he could. David we love you and miss you.
