I offer my condolences to the family. Altough it had been years since I had last talked with George my memories are as fresh as if it was just yesterday. George left a lasting impression on those he met. His abense will truly be missed by those blessed enough to have met him.

It is with great sadness that I write to offer my condolences to your family. I was stationed with George over 15 years ago in a remote location on the Iraq border. One quiet day, I admired a water color painting he was creating of a medevac helicopter on the helo pad behind our field hospital. I told him he was a wonderful artist and the painting was beautiful. Hours later after my shift was complete and I returned to my tent, there placed on my sleeping bag was that painting. To this day, it hangs above my desk and it always brings me back to the experience we shared together. I am so sorry to have lost touch with your family over the years and to hear this sad news. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and my love and appreciation for George will live forever just as his spirit.

Ann Marie, I Will always Remember George for the laughs we had even in the most horrible conditions we were at in the Cease Fire Actions after the first Gulf War, his sense of humor and his drawings, plus all his little sayings, I will always hold those close to my heart. He was a great friend and fello NCO, I Salute him with all my respect for his Final fly by.

To the Ashbaugh Family,

George is going to be greatly missed by the Boomtown Family. He was always there for any of us. He was missed the first time he left us after coming back after the storm, but now he will be greatly missed. We'll miss you George!
