Over the years I've made a few attempts to locate Father Ford. How deeply sad I am to discover he has passed away. 35 yrs ago Fr. Ford officiated at our wedding and 32 yrs ago he christened our first child. I've moved from Lawtell, LA after our wedding but often thought of Fr. Ford. Rest in peace, I thought the world of you

Dear John, I have been looking for you. Did not know you were with God. We will see each other again in heaven one day. We will always love you and cherish your memory. I still have the bible you gave me in 1978.
Rest in Peace,
Makeba, Akbar and Atiba

I am so sad. Going through cards, I found one from John. He sent it to me a few years ago stating I was on his mind. Immediately I responded. As life goes on the thoughts were there and time passed. After reading the card I wanted to write or call. I looked him up on google and found his obituary. The knot in the pit of my stomach is filled with sadness. He was my professor in a Boston graduate program. Needless to say, he was amazing and remained in my mind and heart. He was one of those people who come into your life and remain forever. It is now I storm the heavens. R.I.P, Good and Faithful Servant. Your goodness impacted everyone you met.

I had been remembering my spiritual director from many years ago, and wondering how he was doing. So I googled him thanks to this day and age. How heartbreaking to learn of his passing. How heartbreaking it must have been for you, his family. He was a wonderful person. Although not seen for a lot of years he will still be missed, just knowing that I can never contact him again. I know that our Good God who he served faithfully called out to him saying ""welcome home my good and faithful servant." That thought dries my tears. Rest in peace dear Padre B. (smile)
