I'm REALLY missing you today
June 10, 2016
Miss you every day Matthew, a little more this day if that is possible. Your beautiful blue eyes, your beautiful smile and your infectious laugh, your dry sarcastic humor, your infinite caring and compassion. I remember these things daily and so many more. I speak your name daily. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". I believe that God holds you in his hand until I can again. You are always on my mind and forever in my heart. Love you more than you know.

Today marks three years since you left us, 1,095 days. It is as unbelievable today as it was then. Your namesake is 11 months old today. I see you in him everyday and that has been such a gift from God, although bittersweet. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and I KNOW that you are in the hands of God and safe. you are my first thought every morning and my last thought every night. You are always in my mind and forever in my heart Matthew. I will miss you forever and never forget the blessing that you are to me. Love and prayers, Mom.
