Mrs.Ginger Szczepanski was head teacher when I came to work for her in PK-4 1996 . I was hired to be her aid after having worked for PK3 at Saint Alphonsus. What I remember about that experience is how kind Ginger was to me and all the children in her classroom as well as all who crossed her path at Saint Alphonsus. We had a Chocolate Candy stash in the white cabinets that her husband Ski built!!! Everyone in the school knew where to find chocolate! Ski and Steven also built a loft for the children to play in the room. I now use it daily! I'm honored to use your room. Ginger made sure that no exspence was spared when purchasing things for her BABIES -as she liked to call her students. Her students were always well prepared for kindergarten when graduating from Miss Ginger's class. I remember her former student/parents coming back to visit to her, telling her how the teachers at the public school system commended her teaching skills because the Saint Alphonsus PK 4 students who had Ginger were well prepared above and Beyond for kindergarten . She always spoke about her husband Ski and son Steven to me. She loved them dearly. Ginger, Saint Alphonsus is a much better place because you paved the way for our students to excel. You will always be remembered and thought of in the halls, classrooms, and playgrounds of our school. We love you and know you are having a grand old time with your fellow teachers/friends who have passed on before you. I love you and I am who I am today because of my early experiences with you and your knowledge with children handed down to me. I Thank you for the tote of flags you gave me last year and when I use them I will think of you. Janice Arceneaux

So sorry Ski to hear of Ginger's death. I am praying for the repose of her soul and for comfort for your family. Your faith tells you that she has gained her eternal reward and is enjoying eternal bliss. You know she waits for you and watches over you. May she Rest In Peace and may you find comfort for the remainder of your days.
