My own mother just turned 90, and I feel very blessed to still have her with us. My deep condolences to you. Though I did not know your mother, your father had and still has a great and profound effect on my life. She surely must have been a great lady.

I would like to thank Mrs. Kennedy, and her late husband, D. James Kennedy for leading to Christ, a dear sweet lady, that I had the privilege of caring for, named Doris Sherman. Doris had been afflicted by a massive stroke, and was unable to speak. I was highered, by her daughter, to be a companion to her ailing mother, who was the sweetest, and most precious woman, I had ever known, though Doris was unable to speak, but she had a gentle spirit, and, upon meeting her, it was "instant love"; which sounds crazy, but true. Given Doris's age, of 88, I wanted to make sure she was going to be in heaven, so I would bring my iPad, and play the Coral Ridge hour, which was just about 30 minutes. The amazing part was that Doris's attention span, was not very long, maybe that of a 4 year old child' however; her eyes were always focused, and she was listening, and would even tear up.

One day, when Doris's unbelieving daughter came in, she saw the iPad, and said that her mother, (Doris) and Stepfather, Dr. Howard Sherman, a retired Podiatrist, had frequented Coral Ridge, and that Dr. Sherman, (Howie) had met Dr. and Mrs. Kennedy after the service, and requested a meeting, as Howie had questions about the plan of salvation, so I would later find out from another relative of Doris, that both Dr. and Mrs. Kennedy had visited them both in their home, and Doris had accepted Christ on the first visit, but Howie, being of Jewish decent, was a little reluctant, not sure of the outcome of the second visit, because Howie has suffered from Alzheimer's disease, but I am so thankful that they both heard the Word, from this dear couple who did so many things in the name of Christ.

My late husband Ray and I came to CRPC in 1977 after our move to Florida. There we accepted Christ after meeting with Dr. Kennedy. Our 2 children were later baptized there. Anne was a beautiful example of a Christian woman and I was in EE while she was. We truly loved the Church and especially Dr. & Mrs. Kennedy. They remain dear to my heart. They set us on the path to a Christ centered life.
