When I think of Don I think of a life well lived. His life was complete with a loving wife an adoring daughter and a granddaughter who considered him her favorite super power character. Dressing up in a flowered shirt and whitening her hair she showed how much she admired him.
Addie spoke of him with love and was always inspired by his courage and strength.
I admire the Travers family...all of them ...by showing us an example of a kind and loving family that pulled together during some very difficult times. Don should be very proud of all of them.

Holly and I are so saddened to hear of the passing of Don. Our thoughts and prayers are with Addie, Elizabeth, Steve, Dave and all other family and friends. May " light perpetual " shine upon Don in the Kingdom of Heaven .

Uncle Don was a warm and welcoming person whose main concern was everyone else's well being. I remember being in college struggling with a Water Quality class. I called Don to see what he could tell me about BOD, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, oxygen reduction potential (ORP), turbidity, and of course the Secchi disk depth. Ha! He got so excited, you would have thought I asked him to throw out the first pitch at the world series. He took a big breath and proceeded to tell me everything he knew about the subject and then some. Needless to say I got an A in that class. He was fun, funny, kind, tough, and incredibly generous with his time, energy, and everything else. I will remember him fondly and will miss him dearly.
