October is a time I always remember you and feel such profound sadness because you are no longer here, physically. Yet you are very much alive in the hearts and memories of so many, and so honored for what your accomplishments, a foundation for law school students, no less! How fitting for a man so dedicated to the noble principle of justice for all. I miss you, too, dear, Joe.

This is the 13th year of your passing

The years go by but the impact of your loss never diminishes.

Your Cubs are in the playoffs again and were leading the Washington Nationals 2 games to one but bad pitching in the 8th inning last night lost the game for them. They now need to win game 5 to move on.

We are hoping that the Cubs will repeat last years performance and be World Champs again. You and all the other Cubs fans deserve a repeat after so many years of disappointment.

The Vikings are 3 wins 2 Losses beating Tampa Bay, New Orleans and Chicago, losing to the Steelers and Detroit. This week they play Green Bay.

2017 could be the year for your Vikings.

We miss you so much Joe, there is never a day that goes by that something we do see or hear that reminds of you.

Love always and forever.

Mom, Dad, Mitch

I had learned about my friend Joe's passing a few years ago but only just now found this guest book.

Though it has been over 30 years since I saw Joe (prior to my setting off to New York City and Joe back to law school) I feel like it was yesterday that we were together. Going to the movies, working at Ponderosa, playing basketball, going bowling, or just hanging out at Joe's house or mine.

Whenever I think of Joe I think of laughing....he was just a fun guy to be around and always brought a smile to my face.

Though very sad to read, I read all of the comments on this site and was so pleased - but not surprised in the least - to see the impact that Joe had on so many other people whether it be on the basketball court, softball field, or in the courtroom.

To have made such an impact on other people's lives means that you live forever.

You are missed.
