A year has gone by since Nick passed away, yet it feels like he left us only yesterday.
The pain & loss is still so strong. My heart feels broken open, with no repair in sight.
I miss sharing our "remember when" stories, miss discussing the day, what's happening in the world, and most of all talking about family.
Onni & Chloe missing out on his love & laughter.
His grandson will never be able to re-connect. That breaks my heart. The same with Niki.
Moving along, not moving on as yet. As a friend reminds me "one baby step at a time".

'Coach V' was a well-respected person who I played for him on his softball team my freshman & sophomore years of HS. He always encouraged us to have good sportsmanship on and off the field as well as respecting ourselves. He knew the value of a good education and had us focus on that, not just softball. 'Coach V' had a lasting impression on my softball career as well as being one of those people who made a difference just being part of my life. He was loved by all who he encountered. 'Coach V' was like a second father to us and will be missed!

We met Nick about 1991,as he watched our daughter,Tina-Marie, play softball in Middle School. He asked about the high school she would be attending and said he would like to have the opportunity to coach Tina-Marie. After discussions with family members, we decided that this gentle caring man was someone we would entrust with bettering our daughter's athletic ability, while continuing her family values. What a great decision. Not only did she earn a place on the All-County softball teams, but Nick always promoted sportsmanship and bettering one's self. When Nick left STA, no one could fill his shoes with respect to young adults and caring for their well-being on and off the field!

I absolutely loved Nick! We lived in the condo complex in Pompano with he and Sheila. Such a special couple, full of such love and devotion. My heart is with you all. Love and light during the healing time ahead
