We just learned of Dr. Zann's passing & want to express our deepest sympathy. What a wonderful surgeon he was, he brought my husband through bilateral knee replacements, both done at the same time & because of his expertise, he walks without pain. He will never be forgotten.

I was searching for current contact information for Dr. Zann when I discovered his obituary. Dr. Zann replaced both of my knees in 2011, and was the one surgeon who understood that I would follow his instructions to the letter so I could heal quickly after having both knees replaced at the same time. What a terrible loss his passing is to the community, as well as to all the potential patients seeking a fabulous surgeon with the best bedside manner possible. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and all the staff that worked closely with Bob. He was wonderfully militant about post-surgical therapy for rapid recovery, had a fabulous sense of humor, especially when he told my Wife that I had the worst set of knees he'd seen in over 30 years, after the surgery, of course! LOL, and was the most understanding physician that ever attended me - the man actually listened to his patients - so rare in this current world of 15 minute Doctor visits. It was my honor and privilege to have known and been treated by Bob. We've lost one of G-d's true healing angels on earth folks. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing.

I just heard this week that Robert Zann passed away 7 months ago. I was never a patient of Dr. Zann but an elementary schoolmate from kindergarten at Ladyfield School in Toledo. He was without a doubt the cutest and smartest boy in our class and all the girls had a huge crush on him. Imagine my surprise many many years after elementary school to find that he and his whole family all live in Boca Raton where I too lived. (A long way from Toledo, Ohio) Often while living here in Boca Raton my path would cross with his twin brother Greg and his family, but Robert I only saw once. However, as I aged his name was brought up time and time again as friends and neighbors expounded on what a wonderful man and surgeon he was. I would always smiled and say,"yes but I knew him when just the sight of his black wavy hair and dimples made the girls giddy. The world has lost an amazing human being from an amazing family. I was blessed to have known him.

Dr Zahn was an awesome person who was also an awesome surgeon. What a personality he had! He replaced both of my hips seven years ago and I'm jumping around just fine. My condolences go out to his family. Heaven got another great one. you will truly be missed.
