We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this holiday season and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Justin R. Pellerin US Army Specialist.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.

Our indebtedness to our fallen hero's cannot adequately Be expressed in spoken words. Only heart's that ache with you. In gratitude & love. Especially to the family left to grieve.So many keep you in our heart's & prayers. Thank-you Justin, and God's peace to your family, who suffer your absence.

I am so very sorry to hear about Justin. All of us here at CBC just were informed of his passing. I remember when we spoke not too long ago when you told me he was heading overseas. How do express graditude and sorrow? He is our hero! Our hearts are with you. I do hope you find peace one day.

Please accept our deepest thanks and gratitude for Justin's service to our country and his tremendous sacrifice. We pray for you that God will heal your hearts.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of SPC Justin Pellerin on your great loss. Justin’s courage and devotion to duty are truly to be honored, and his sacrifice in defense of our country and freedoms must never be forgotten. Our own son, PV2 Joseph Blake, was killed in action in Afghanistan on August 17, 2006. Joe was also in the 10th Mountain Division. We share your grief and sorrow at this time, and our prayers are with you.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to our Brother-in-Arms SPC. Justin Pellerin. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Justin. And to Justin it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Justin, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

Please know how Deeply Sorry I am, to learn of the Devastating loss of SPC. Justin Pellerin.
As a parent, who has lost a daughter suddenly and having lost a brother to war...I am aware of the deep and devastating pain that you are experiencing. The overwhelming heartache, that seems to surface through our shock, as the time passes.

In the days ahead, you will be going through unimaginable grief, please hang on to your Faith and know that you will get through this.

May the memories of your Brave Young Soldier, remain in your heart always and give you strength through the difficult days and may Justin, Rest Safely now, in the Loving Care of God and know that he Will Never Be Forgotten.

Our prayers are with you as we are also an Army mom and dad. Our son has been to Iraq twice with the 4th infantry out of Fort Hood. You must be so proud of him. May God's peace bring you comfort.

I did not know your son but want to send my condolences. I have a son who is a soldier with The 10TH Mountain Division who has served twice in afghanistan and will most likely go back again. I can not imagine your loss but do celebrate your son's courage and dedication to ALL...those he knew and loved and served to protect and even more so in some ways those who were strangers to him. He is a man to be proud of. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
