Alex Mathis Lewis Alex Mathis Lewis, 66, of Tallahassee passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008. He was a native of Tallahassee and graduated from Leon High School. Mr. Lewis was a graduate of Marion Military Institute and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Technical Service Systems. Survivors include his long time companion, Dorothy Rogers; son, Daniel M. Lewis IV (and his wife Jacque); three brothers, Dan M. Lewis III, David R. Lewis, and Michael Andrews; grand children, Brandon P. Lewis, Michael Davis and Cori Davis. Alex M. Lewis was preceded in death by his father, Daniel M. Lewis Jr., and mother, Dorothy Andrews Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (850-877-8191) is handling arrangements.

My sincere condolences to the Lewis family on your loss. I remember Mr. Lewis from the old days as he was a customer at my grandparents gas station, the old "Orange Avenue Service Station" in the 1970's. Cherish the memories, for one day we all become one.
