I am sorry to hear of Vern's passing. He and my father Ernest Cox were friends so I have known Vern all my life. He was a good person, family friend , and will be missed.

I was sorry to hear of Vern's passing. He was a good friend to my father, Doug Stowell. I'd like to think they have resumed their friendship in the afterlife.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family now.

I am saddened to learn of Vern's passing and offer my condolences to the family.

From 1981 through 1988, Vern and I were across-the-street neighbors on Loma Farms Road. During this period, I got to know Vern and his family quite well and have many fond recollections of our conversations and his beautiful rose garden. He was a devoted father to his two young daughters Jenny and Rachel, and his son Michele. Being some 20 years younger than Vern, I looked up to him as a type of "renaissance man" with his wide range of interests and knowledge. I moved to South Florida in 1988 and lost touch with Vern but never forgot his warmth, sense of humor, and his joy in life. May God keep his soul in eternal grace.
