To my friend John, I am sorry I didn't know earlier that you had passed. We served together in the USAF while we were stationed at Holloman AFB, NM. You were a friend for many years and I pray we meet again in the afterlife. God Rest Your Soul! Bye for now. Gator

I'm so sad to hear of John's passing. Although I have not seen him in many years, I have so many fond memories of him from our childhood. My love and prayers to the Bishop family.

I loved working with John at the City of Tallahassee. He started everyday with a smile and a positive attitude, always making the day a bit brighter, and always finding the good in everything. He had a kind and loving heart. RIP my friend.....you left us way to soon!

John was an absolutely wonderful person and a dear friend. He had a great sense of humor, was extremely intelligent, and was the most affable host. Don and I enjoyed the trips we took to Houston and Washington, D. C., to visit and stay with John. I will always remember the times he came back home to Tallahassee to visit his mom and always made sure that he met us for dinner. We learned very early in our friendship to never be late when meeting John for a function, dinner, or an event- LOL! John was proud to be a Southerner and was very knowledgable of history on many levels. I will miss John's effervescent smile, funny stories, and especially his sincere friendship. I love you, John!
