Bongo and I met at Bowling Green State University in Ohio back in 2000. We had an instant connection, both of us being West Africans myself from Ghana and he from Ivory coast. We had a special musical connection that will last forever, we were all aspiring musicians in a small college town. Upon graduation I left for Cleveland and he stayed at Bowling Green. We lost contact for a few years but got reconnected when he moved to Florida and that's when we started working together long distance. He would send me whatever beats he had made and would call me and tell me that he had some music that he thought I would sound really good on. Sometime in 2007 he began sending me more music , I would write lyrics to it send it back to him. We were both amazed at the results of the name of the song "challenger" which he intended to include in the Grand Movement album. In 2013 I sent him some files to mix for an EP I wanted to release , we were so excited by the project that he did the mixing and sent it to me within two weeks and with that I was able to launch my EP and as a result created the band Blazeen. In 2014 he sent me music to write to help me destress as I new a father of 4 after the birth of my twin daughters. He always kept me focused musically and challenged me to push myself to the next level, though he's gone he's with us forever and his music and energy Will forever be with us. Gone too soon my but the Grand Movement will live on. One love breddah!

Landry was one of the nicest human beings I ever met. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
