James Riley Seevers

James Riley Seevers, 84, passed away on September 16, 2017.

He was a resident of Havana and Tallahassee FL. Riley played baseball for FSU and was the first player to hit a .400 in his day. He was a long time member of the Tallahassee Elks Lodge #937. Riley worked at Department of Transportation and retired in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf @ Havana Golf and Country Club along with hanging out with his friends at Salty Dawg, Leggett's and Shuckers Oyster Bar. He was well known and liked by all, he will be missed.

He is survived by his sister, Kathryn Bleume, daughter, Kimberly Miller, and several nieces.

There will be a celebration of Riley's life from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 held at Salty Dawg Pub & Deli 3813 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303.

Kelly Barber of Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee (850/385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the Seevers family with their arrangements.
