He was a great student pastor at Trinity UMC in Tallahassee while in seminary. I have many great memories of him from that time. He told me of the teeth that he lost on the old Leon HS football field on campus in front of the school.

I still remember some of the sermons Rev. Temple gave in Bartow during the early 70's. He was such a good man and a wonderful pastor.

Bobby and I were roommates our last year at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. We were in each other's weddings and were brothers in Sigma Chi Fraternity. I am sad to learn of his passing and send my condolences to his family. A great friend, pastor, writer and model railroad enthusiast!

Our lives have all shined a little brighter for knowing this man. I can honestly say Bob Temple is one of the most outstanding gentlemen we have ever known, with a sweet heart, gentle, and kind. Dear Lord, I pray you surround Bob's Family and Friends with peace, through comfort & love. We'll see you later on, our dear Friend.
