To the Smith Family, my thoughts and prayer goes out to you as you mourn your loved one.

Charla and family; my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I knew your mom from TMH a long time ago and then, by chance, I met you in D.C. when I visited Alan Boyd's office during a nursing advocacy conference. You were working as an aide. I know she was a light in your family and will be sorely missed.

To the family and friends of Shirley my deepest sympathy. Blessed are those who mourn since they will be comforted Matthew 5:4

David, Charla and Buddy and all of your family:
Shirley was one of a kind. I cannot even remember how we met but she was my first friend in Tallahassee when I moved there at 19. We skipped more classes than we attended at TCC and spent a lot of time pooling pennies for cheeseburgers. I remember being surprised that she was in the band at FSU...why I am not sure. She helped deliver another friend's baby when just a student in labor and delivery and because of that I got to hold a little boy who was then adopted. She was there when I had minor surgery and I was living with her when she almost died from meningitus. She shared my joy when I met my husband Dennis and I hers when she met you David. And now, she is with Dennis and her wonderful Mom who I adored. She and Dennis were way too young at 68 and "I am jealous of the angels around the throne tonight." Heaven's gain is our great loss. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend!
