Sue Ann Gray

On March 31, 2021, Sue Ann Gray, loving wife and mother of two sons passed away at the age of 66. She was born on October 18, 1954 in St. Petersburg, FL to Albert and Nancy (Watkins) Gregory. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Valdosta State College in 1986 and worked in the Big Bend area for 34 years as a registered nurse. On April 4, 1975 she married George Gray and they raised two sons, Aaron and Jesse.

Sue loved helping others as a nurse and especially enjoyed working with babies and children, spending the largest part of her career with Children's Medical Services in Tallahassee. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing art quilts and her home was always a pleasant place to be for both its beauty and welcoming spirit. George and Sue both loved music and enjoyed singing together and going out to listen to music. They hosted many concerts in their home for singer-songwriters, both local and from around the country and the world.

Sue is survived by her husband George, sons Aaron and Jesse, grandchildren Sharon, Sophie, Caleb and Phoebe as well as two brothers Doug and Bill.

My thoughts are with you, George, and your other family members. I know you are all brokenhearted over this sad loss. Sue was a sweet and caring person who will be missed terribly. Take care in the coming days knowing that brighter ones lie ahead.

My prayers and condolences to George and the Gray family. I met Sue in 2015 at CMS, she was my Nursing Supervisor. We developed a friendship from the day we met. I will miss her and her kind spirit.

George our prayers are with you. Sue lit up the neighborhood as she walked with such courage and always a joyful smile. Condolances from our former neighbor Martha Capelouto - she appreciates the hospice care Sue provided her mother and husband.
God bless you and your boys.
