The first time I really got to experience Lynn's wonderful sense of humor, upbeat attitude, and resilient spirit was when he was in rehab after surgery in 2013(?) and I was privileged to be serving on our Rotarians Under The Weather (RUTW) subcommittee. Before visiting his dad, I asked David for Get Well gift suggestions and he replied without hesitation: Anything FSU!

The next day, armed with an FSU thermal mug, an FSU engraved pen, and a ball cap with the FSU logo, I found Lynn engaged in good-natured banter with one of his male buddies. His eyes sparkled as he opened my presents like a kid on Christmas. Two days later, I received a handwritten thank you note from him, which I shall always treasure.

Even though I have been caregiving in New Hampshire since 2014, Lynn's ever smiling face stands out in the photos posted after weekly meetings on our Rotary Club of Tallahassee (RCT) Facebook and Web site pages. Humble despite his accomplishments and never seeking the spotlight, it was no surprise that Lynn Wollschlager was the 2015 recipient of our Rotary club's highest honor The Frederick Clifton Moor Award. Rest in Peace, dear friend, and please leave the light on for me.

We re so sorry to hear about our precious Lynn. We were able to spend some wonderful time with he and our friend Jan Soto several times in Panama City Beach. I don't think we have met a more pleasant and honorable man in our lives. We will miss his infectious smile. Rest in peace our DEAR friend. Until we meet again.

David & family,
Lynn was an amazing person. Tallahassee has lost another wonderful citizen. What a pleasure to have known him. What a fine Rotarian. My sympathies to your family.
