Eileen was a special friend. Even though we weren’t together a lot, we still made good memories at the Power Squadron and our parties.
Rest In Peace my friend.

My condolences to Eileen’s family. Eileen was a true gem! Someone you’ll never forget. I worked with her for many years at the MDN and still smile whenever I think of her. She was a breath of fresh air each morning. You could hear her coming into the building long before you’d see her, high heels clicking and bracelets tinkling. Plopping down her oversized bag, she’d fumble through it, greeting her coworkers while wrestling to get her coat off before getting down to the business of writing the next story. No one wore chunky jewelry like Vig! Always classy, put together and very, very glam. She had a sparkle in her eye that matched the sparkle in her earrings. She was always kind, thoughtful, generous, quick on her feet, witty, talented, cheerful and a good listener. She loved a good cocktail and good conversation. She was smart, beautiful, full of life and a whole lot of fun.
Rest In Peace my dear Eileen. I will always smile whenever I think of you.
May God Bless your entire family.

I worked with Eileen for several years at the Milford News. She was so vibrant, cheerful, and friendly. She taught me a lot about being a reporter, and I will always appreciate how helpful she was to me. She talked about her family all the time and it was obvious how much they meant to her. I enjoyed catching up with her over email awhile back. Eileen was so supportive of my writing career, and we shared family pictures. My husband and I will always remember her fondly. Our deepest sympathies to the family she adored.

Eileen walked into the Milford Daily newsroom early each morning, high heels clicking, hair swept up, carrying a massive handbag with a bright smile on her face, ready to tackle each day’s events. She loved being a reporter, covering the mundane, funny, shocking, sad and the joyful events throughout the Milford area for some 25 years. And she loved working with - and in more recent years – chatting about the eclectic and talented staff at the MDN, particularly her dear friend and colleague Denise Marie Mize and editor Nick Tosches To her greatest loves -her husband Peter, daughter Jill and Eileen’s entire family, I send my deepest sympathies. I will miss her.

Eileen was such a Dear Friend to our Family, The Johnstons, in Franklin, MA., especially to brother Jim. We quickly became her friend, too. She visited the homestead in Franklin many times. We had many pleasant visits and conversations with her. She had a wonderful spirit! We wish to express our Deepest Sympathy to Peter and to all of Eileen's dear family. You are in our thoughts and our prayers. God bless! Linda (Johnston) and Al DeCotis

This is a heartbreaker to myself and my husband. Eileen and I became very good friends when we lived in Franklin, Mass. The friendship lasted from the moment we met for many, many years. Eileen married a very good friend of ours, therefore the friendship continued. Even tho they moved to Florida and we moved to Virginia we managed to see each other at least once a year, so we could have our usual fun together. This hurts alot, but we will always remember her as a super gal. Ann & Charlie Hinckey - Friends

In loving memory of my Aunt Eileen. You were always very fun, kind and friendly to me. I will miss tremendously your smile and especially your laugh. The world will not be the same without you. May God bless you in the afterlife and all those who you love left here on earth - in this most difficult of times.
