It is sad to see that Mr Ferris has passed away and I wish to extend my sincere condolences to his family.
I am grateful that he gave me the opportunity to work on the milk run when I was young and I have fond memories looking back. I imagine with health & safety these days you wouldn't be able to jump off and on the truck like we did. As an adult I bumped into Mr Ferris a few times and exchanged some great yarns. He had a long life well lived.

To all the Ferries family
Have many fond memories of your family from when you were very young. Your Dad was a special type of person. I admired his faith and humour. Knew your Mum & Dad from when I was a teenager in the late 70's.
Wow Alistair, promoted to Glory.
"Well done good and faithful servant".
With love always

Thank you Alistair for accommodating me in January this year during the 6 week period while my mother was dying. I was most grateful. Alistair and I had some great conversations while sitting on his back porch.
I was also pleased to meet Athol again after so many years.
Alistair was our Landlord during the time we ran One Way House at 32 Carrington street almost 50 years ago.

My sincere condolences to all the family at the passing of Alistair into his eternal glory with Jesus. I will always remember and appreciate God's grace that was at work through Alistair in my early years of coming to put my own trust in the Jesus of the Scriptures. I look forward to seeing Alistair again along with all those who have gone before us. Grace and Peace to all the family.
