Dear Gail and family.

We were so sorry to hear of Bill's passing.

He was such a strong supporter and chairman of Riverlea School in our time there.

Such a lovely person who made people feel welcome and at ease.

Deepest sympathies to you all.

We have lost a very special man. Conservation and farming is how I know of Bill. His legacy will live on. The flaxes he kindly donated to Soldiers Park will thrive on. His interesting alcoholic concoctions at the Stuart Rd Christmas parties will be missed, along with Bill himself. He was a kind, knowledgable, friendly man and his conservation work will not be forgotten! Be at peace Bill. We will miss you! Love from Becky, Gareth, Paige and Natalie ❤ Thinking of all his family and friends at this hard time!

I was very sad to hear of your loss and my thoughts have been with you. I know how much you both mean to the Sayers family and how much Al enjoyed being in your company. I'm new to the scene but your warmth and kindness, interest in people and passion for life made an real impact on me too. Much love to you all at this difficult time. Karen

Dear Gail and family,
So very sad and shocked to read of Bill's passing. He was a great man who had high values and a genuine interest in people including children. He was a very good chairman in the early days of Board of Trustees with a genuine interest in education. He was just a thoroughly nice person to have a conversation with. We send our love to you Gail.

Thank you Bill and Gail for choosing Riverlea to buy your farm and bring up your beautiful family. Your dedication Bill to community, education, conservation, agriculture and sport will remain in our community for generations to come. A true gentleman and a great mentor. One of Taranaki's top grass farmers a true legend who always shared his knowledge. You surrounded yourself and your family with positive supportive friends who will in return help your family to navigate the road they must now travel without you. Arohanui Bill and Thank you
