TALMADGE E. TOMLIN, 77, died May 12, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Mr. Tomlin was born in Cornelia, Georgia and moved to Fort Pierce in 1936. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1959 as an Airborne Mechanic assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. Prior to retirement, he was the service director at Barry Reed Automotive. Survivors include his daughters, Genie Pittenger and Laura Mac Donald; brothers, Doyle Tomlin, Grady Tomlin, and Edgar Tomlin, Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Hall, Gracy Wooley, and Nell Purdy; 4 grandchildren, Shawna Willett, Stephanie Petty, Thomas Dunn, Shawn Petty; and 3 great-grandchildren, Thomas Austin Hannaford, and Chloe and Landon Massie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Tomlin, and sisters, Flora Belle and Lorilla Barker. Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981 www.TCHospice.org or to the American Cancer Society (St. Lucie), 3375 20th Street, Ste 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at White City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
