rEST IN PEACE
November 30, 2018
I have great memories of Casey, Liz, Lynn and Lisa.

Lynn introduced me to Lisa and, on another occasion, must have introduced me to Liz and Casey.

In any event, Liz and Casey recruited me to publicize Christopher the Christmas Seal, which I was happy to do. They were a great team and the nicest people.

I believe the last time I saw Casey was when he accompanied Lynn to the VIP Grand Opening of the George Jones Museum.

It was a wonderful evening but if I had known it would be the last time I'd ever see both Lynn or Casey, I'm sure I would have told them how much they have meant to the country-music community over the years. It wouldn't have been the first time they had been reminded of their respective contributions, but everyone needs to be reminded now and then that they are special.

Casey was certainly that and I hope Lisa and her siblings know that those who will miss him extend far beyond those who, like them, knew him best.

As my Mom's kid brother, Casey was my uncle. Growing up, I saw him and Aunt Liz and Cousin Lynn rarely, as we lived far apart. But I am thankful that I saw all of them as well as Lisa more often since moving to Chattanooga in 2008. I got to know Casey much better during these years and visited him just a month ago. He is the most charismatic and fun to be around person I have ever known. I loved hearing his amazing stories even if not the first time, and have often retold them myself. And even during our final visit I was treated to one or two new ones. He was simply an amazing and unforgettable man and I will miss him dearly. There will never be another. Rest in peace, Uncle Casey
