Stevie was a childhood friend and neighbor of mine growing up in Morristown, TN. To know him was to love him. He will be missed. RIP Steve.

Steve was my friend and brother for 40 years. Much of who I am and my career was directed by our friendship. As the godfather to my daughter Olivia, he was always someone she could turn to. He was an integral part of the fabric of my family and will be sorely missed on a daily basis. He loved his friends and family dearly. He so reminded me of his father, who was such an important impact on his life. This has been a time where I have spoken to many old friends and discussed our mutual admiration and love for Steve and what he meant to each of us. We used to joke about how we were like Hank Williams Jr , and that all of our old rowdy friends had settled down. However, there is one thing that remains in each of us....that kinship and love for one another regardless of where we are in this life or in the next. I love you brother. Oliver Smith
