I do not recall ever meeting you although we must have shaken hands at some since our daughters were best friends at Harpeth Hall School and continue to be very close even though Suzanna lives in Portland, Orgeon. If I didn't know you well it was my loss.
Your absence means a tremendous loss not only for your large family, but for your many close friends, and even for those who did not know you well. I easily sense that you were an intelligent and highly ethical person who was was a respected partner in a firm bearing your name, an excellent engineer, and a warm and nurturing father(I know that directly from your lovely daughter, Susanne. Furthermore, your were an excellent citizen of Nashville and contributed much in time and money to the well being of those unfortunate residents who needed help.
I was honored to be asked by my daughter who was away to provide Suzanne with her simple requests to be sent a copy of your obituary and the actual paper issue of the notice of your death.
Having lost my wife at an early age, I am well acquainted with the challenges you faced. Your family has increased and succeeded due to your tutelage, and I am sure your found great comfort and pride from your children, great grandchildren, and great great children.
You lived a very productive life, and, I believe, enjoyed every minute of it.
My heartfelt sympathy goes to your family, friends, and all those who loved you.
My condolence to your family and everyone whom you touched.
